  15. I just got a Sony SDT-5200 DAT drive and am having problems backing up
  16. Flyer projects.  A call to Newtek Tech Support confirmed that numerous
  17. problems have been reported regarding the backup software but I'd be
  18. currious to hear from people using  or having tried to use this Sony
  19. drive.

  21. Flyer Backup problem:

  23. I can backup everything but video and audio clips located on Flyer A, B
  24. or C
  25. drives.  Every attempt to backup a project containing audio or video
  26. clips will
  27. bring up a message in the backup window saying:

  29. Backing up file "FlyerA:......" ...... Failed!
  30. Error Sense Data:
  31.     70 00 00 00 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
  32. Error during backup!

  34. I am using a brand new Sony  SDT-5200 DAT drive.  It is set to SCSI ID
  35. #1,is
  36. hooked to my FlyerC audio drive ID #0 and is properly terminated.  Data
  37. compression option is disable on the DAT drive.

  39. Backing up a project containing only Framestores and effects works but
  40. when
  41. doing a restore, and playing back the restored project, it crashes. 
  42. The control
  43. display, project/files scrolling controls get fuzzy and covered by some
  44. gray garbage.
  45. Using a directory utility, I noticed that the restored files seem
  46. identical in size,
  47. name and creation date.  Trying to open one of the restored framestore
  48. from
  49. ADPro gives me a message "error in body".
